Cherry. Prunus Serotina.
American Cherry wide plank flooring brings a warmth and richness to any room with its fine grain and reddish heartwood. Our premium grade tongue and groove Cherry flooring is a midpoint between the select and natural grades and features a light touch of knots and character marking present on roughly half the planks.
Like all objects of quality, Cherry floors develop a patina with age. The color of the wood darkens slightly, giving your cherry floor an heirloom quality. The photosensitivity of Cherry is most dramatic in the first year of exposure to light, when it is advisable to rotate any area rugs to avoid uneven darkening.
Cherry is a durable wood, and it is one of the most stable woods we offer. Even flat sawn Cherry in very wide widths exhibits minimal movement with changes to your home’s indoor climate.
Cherry is well-suited to any area of your home.
