What Makes A Hull Plank Floor Special?
- Long plank lengths come standard with every order; long plank floors mean fewer end seams for a cleaner, more luxurious look. Our minimum average plank length is longer than most manufacturers’ maximum plank length.
- We start in the forest, selecting trees from areas with ideal soil types for the respective species. Once harvested, our flooring logs are processed in batches. Rather than cutting for grade, our sawyers cut for appearance and stability. Then our graders hand select the most beautiful planks for our flooring inventory. After closely monitored air drying and computer controlled kiln drying (in our biomass-powered kilns), our wood is ready for custom milling upon order. Most items are always in stock and require 4-6 weeks milling lead time. We can accommodate any special request with additional lead time.
- Our wood is grown and responsibly harvested in the United States. When you choose a Hull plank floor, you sustain regional markets for forest products, ensuring the long-term survival of America’s forestland. Our forests enhance air and water quality, provide wildlife habitat, sequester carbon, and supply a homegrown, renewable source of natural building materials. In addition, our sawmill's flooring is available FSC-certified.
Hull plank floors, from our authentic Wide Pine flooring to our famous Red Oak flooring, grace homes in Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and beyond, including over 20 countries. We offer global shipping and also hand deliver our flooring throughout New England, including Boston, Providence, Cape Cod, the Berkshires, New Hampshire, Maine, and Vermont, as well as much of New York.
Thank you for choosing a renewable resource and for helping us promote and protect working forests here in the United States.
