Why Choose A Hull Wide Plank Floor?
We can make you a custom floor because we are a sawmill.
Whether you want consistent color, all sapwood, all heartwood, or certain lengths and widths, we are happy to accommodate your needs. Perhaps you want planks that run the length of your room so there won't be any butt joints. We can do that. Every floor we make is custom milled so we will gladly put together an order to your exact specifications. See an example.
We begin manufacturing our floors in the forest. Not at the mill, not at the lumber pile.
We are a woodland management service and a sawmill. Most of our floors come directly from our forests and sawmill to your home. Our harvesters cut to ideal lengths based on appearance, not technical grade. Our sawyers then process each flooring log to yield the widest, most stable, and attractive planks. If you need something that doesn't grow well in our area, or that we don't have in stock, we will work with our network of sawmills to find what you want.
Only the top 5 to 10 percent of our production is selected to become a Hull plank floor.
We craft our floors from the very best of all the lumber we saw. Our graders make the final call on whether a plank will become flooring or grade lumber.
Long plank lengths come standard with every floor.
Other manufacturers offer shorter lengths because they make their flooring by cutting around defects in the logs. We start with the highest quality logs, so we are able to offer the longest plank lengths.
Our wood is grown and responsibly harvested in the United States.
Using American-grown wood products, like eating local food, creates incentive for landowners to keep their forests for generations to come.
Our floors come with a lifetime quality guarantee.
We expect our floors to hold up to generations of use, and we offer you a lifetime quality guarantee.
