White Oak flooring is characterized by brown undertones, long rays, and prominent straight grain. White Oak takes stain well so it can be matched to complement any décor.
White Oak floors are exceptionally durable and hold up well in high-traffic areas.
Paler than Red Oak, White Oak also has longer and more pronounced rays in the grain. White Oak's undertones run from gray to brown and like all Oak it takes stain beautifully. White Oak floors work with both traditional and contemporary homes. Renowned for its resistance to rot and insect damage, White Oak has traditionally been used in barrel making and for the aging of whiskey and wine, since the tannins in the wood impart subtle flavor.
