White Ash. Fraxinus Americana.
Our premium grade wide plank ash flooring is milled from 1 and Better grade White Ash with both white sapwood and tan heartwood. The country Ash wide plank floor has bold straight grain and only an occasional knot. These premium floors are 67 to 100 percent clear grain. Average plank length is 8 feet or longer.
Floors, baseball bats, canoe paddles, and tool handles are among the historic uses for White Ash, with its strong, straight grained, slightly springy wood. Sapwood is cream colored and heartwood, where the oldest growth lies, is pale tan to darker brown in color.
Ash has superior impact resistance, making it a great choice for any area of your home.
