Edge profiles, or treatments, refer to the amount of reveal on the edge of each plank. All of our hardwood planks are milled with tongue and groove connection and back relief, unless otherwise specified. We also offer several face profiles for custom wood paneling, call or email for more info.

Square Edge, tongue and groove
With a square edge, the planks fit snugly against each other, providing a seamless look to your flooring. This is our most requested edge profile for hardwood planks. Note the milled back relief visible on the bottom of the planks. This acts as an additional stability measure to prevent them from cupping.

Shiplap Edge
Shiplap edge, commonly requested for softwood floors, places the boards flush together. Note that pine planks, which have less tension than hardwood ones, do not need back relief.

Beveled Edge, tongue and groove
A beveled edge on a floor board (or paneling board) is a slight v-groove that gives a subtle outline to each plank. A deeper v-groove edge is also available. |
