1/27/10 Job Opening for Customer Service Director, Retail Lumber/Flooring

Hull Forest Products is growing fast and expanding into new retail markets for wood products.  As part of this expansion we want to hire people who are looking for long-term careers in customer service, sales, and marketing.  If you’re looking for more than just a $50,000 to $150,000+ pay check take a look:

  • Right away you will assume responsibility for retail sales of lumber and flooring.
  • You’ll need to conduct and refine a variety of tasks to manage clients, close sales, track orders and ensure our customers' complete satisfaction.
  • Attention to detail is a must.  Our clients cannot accept errors and we are very proud of our ability to offer superior products and services.
  • One or more years in a customer service position is preferred, but more important is a desire to learn and grow this department by 1000% or more in the first five years, while assuming greater responsibilities within our family business.

The director of customer service will have responsibility for all flooring and retail lumber sales conducted through the Pomfret, CT office of Hull Forest Products.  The director will follow currently established sales/service procedures for current sales volume with an eye for improvement in closing sales and efficiency of transactions.  Director must plan to accommodate anticipated growth in sales and lead ongoing efforts toward upgrading customer service and ordering activity.  Candidate must ensure a company wide focus on improving all aspects of customer service.  A successful candidate may ultimately move toward supervision of other sales representatives as growth allows.  Future growth depends on establishing new procedures in all aspects of customer service from phone and email inquiries to walk ins.  Success will be measured through improvements in customer service, closing rates, and growth in per rep. sales.
