Why Choose A Hull Plank Floor?

We begin manufacturing our floors in the forest. Not at the mill, not at the lumber pile. Our woodsmen cut to ideal lengths based on appearance, not technical grade. Our sawyers then process each flooring log to yield the widest, most attractive and stable planks.

Only the top 5 to 10 percent of our production is selected to become a Hull plank floor. Our graders make the final call on whether a plank will become flooring or grade lumber.

Long plank lengths come standard with every floor. Plank lengths average 7 or 8 feet, depending on the product. Other manufacturers offer shorter lengths because they make their flooring by cutting around defects in the logs. We start with the highest quality logs, so we are able to offer the longest plank lengths.

Our wood is grown and responsibly harvested in the United States. Using American-grown wood products, like eating local food, creates incentive for landowners to keep their forests for generations to come. When you choose a Hull plank floor, you sustain regional markets for forest products, ensuring the long-term survival of America's forestland. Buying a wood floor grown in the United States helps families afford to keep their woodlands, ensuring that local forests will continue to supply our nation with wildlife habitat, clean air and water, carbon sequestration, and a homegrown, renewable source of natural building materials.

Our floors come with a lifetime quality guarantee. We expect our floors to hold up to generations of use, and we offer a lifetime guarantee on every wood floor we make. If a problem arises that is attributed to our manufacturing or to a defective product, we will replace the material.

We can keep our prices affordable because we are the sawmill, the primary manufacturer of our wide plank flooring. In addition to running our own sawmill, we also procure, manage, and harvest the forests that produce our finished plank floors. Nothing is wasted at our mill (we use every scrap of wood right down to the sawdust that goes into our biomass-powered kilns). And there are no middlemen because we offer our product direct to you. Our wide plank flooring starts at just $3.25/sf.

Our products reside in beautiful homes around the world, and we are very proud of what we do.
