Technical specifications

A note on widths: we measure our flooring widths across the reveal (the portion visible once your floor is installed). For example, a 5" plank actually measures 5 1/4" wide including the tongue
All planks have a 5/16" top wear layer, a 1/4" deep tongue rounded all the way around for ease of installation, and hardwood planks are also milled tounge and groove 2 sides with 1/8" deep back relief.
Lead times vary by order and usually take from three to twenty one days.
There may be an surcharge for orders of less than 500/sf .
Specific quantities per width (i.e. orders of all one width or repeating patterns) may incur a surcharge; please call for more info.

Questions to Ask when Shopping for Plank Flooring

We encourage you to ask these three questions when comparing wide plank flooring manufacturers. Otherwise you might end up with a lot of "shorts" and very few long planks.

1. What is the manufacturers' plank length range (from shortest possible board to longest possible board)?

2. What is their minimum average plank length (the shortest average length of all the boards in an order).

3. What percent of the planks in your order will be minimum average length or longer?

At Hull Forest Products, our plank length range is 4 to 16 feet. Our minimum average plank length is 10 feet for pine and 8 feet for all hardwoods except quartersawn oak, which is 7 feet.
